First Care Acquires Eaton Medical Transport (EMT)

CINCINNATI, Ohio (August 3, 2015)—Officials at First Care Medical Services and EMT, Inc., both private ambulance companies, today announced that First Care Medical Services has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets and operations of EMT, Inc.  The purchase agreement was signed on Friday, July 31, 2015, and the transaction is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.  The merger of the two companies will result in one of the largest private ambulance services in southwest Ohio.

According to David Rubenstein, CEO of EMT, Inc., the acquisition of the company by First Care is a very positive event for its employees and its customers.  Rubenstein said: “We are pleased to announce this merger of EMT, Inc. into First Care Medical Services.  First Care is a very solid company with a strong track record of success.  The combination of these two organizations will drive growth while ensuring that our customers and patients receive the quality medical transport services they need from a stable and experienced provider.  We also believe this transaction to the best thing for our teammates who will become members of the First Care team following the sale.  It’s an exciting time for both companies.”
